I suppose when it comes to reading books on Christian living the one way to tell if it was a good book is if you were convicted. When I read this book I was convicted in a lot of the areas of my life, so in my opinion this was a worthwhile book to read. The Divine Dance is a neat concept. We are either dancing for God or for the world/5.

Dance of Divine Love. K likes. Book published in by Princeton University Press, authored by Graham. M. Schweig | Garuda Das | annotated translation with extensive introduction and commentary. Gita Govinda book. Read 14 reviews from the world's largest community for readers. GITA GOVINDA The Dance of Divine Love of Radha & Krishna by Jayadeva T.

An intimate look into the Bhagavat Puranas most celebrated sacred love story: The Rasa Lila of Krishna!   I love his idea of Divine Romance and think there is a lot to be learned from the author. The famous poem "The Hound of Heaven" also talks of this Divine Romance. However one must not be confused in thinking what is written in this book is Scripturall As a novel this is a great book, but one that should not be taken out of the novel realm/5().

Franciscan priest Richard Rohr considers The Divine Dance the most important book he has ever written. I concur that this is indeed a very important book. His thesis is that whatever is going on in God is like dancing, a flowing of life.

Knowledge of God is participatory; it is knowing from within, from participating in the dance/5(). The Divine Dance: The Trinity and Your Transformation by Richard Rohr and Mike Morrell explores that one topic that seems to occupy so much theological thinking these days -- the doctrine of the Trinity -- in ways that allows us to make connections with real Christian living/5.

The heart of this book is a dramatic love poem, the Rasa Lila, which is the ultimate focal point of one of the most treasured Sanskrit texts of India, the Bhagavata a literary masterpiece by Indian and Western scholars alike, this work of poetic genius and soaring religious vision is one of the world's greatest sacred love stories and, as Graham Schweig clearly demonstrates Cited by: 1.

The Divine Dance opened my eyes This is an amazing book. Drop expectations and previous programming and be ready to have a new revelation. Rather than take away, it enhances our belief and love of God and creation as an everflowing river of love through the Holy Trinity.

Thank you Mr. Rohr. The reader is calm and inspiring. In it, Dr. Sanders says things like “The Divine Dance is not about the Trinity,” and “Rohr aggressively misappropriates Trinitarian language in order to commend his own eclectic spiritual teaching,” and “[Morrell’s] transition of this material from speech to print is not, stylistically, a happy one.” (Ouch!) By and large, I find this ‘review’ to be a bit of a hit piece, full.

Understanding the relational love of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, expressed in the motif of a “Divine Dance” to which we are invited to participation, could be the ticket to our personal transformation.

What Rohr and Morrell intend for this book is that readers see Trinitarian theology as an invitation to the Divine dance which will. ***GITA GOVINDA***The Dance of Divine Love of Radha & Krishna>Jayadevathe divine love of Avatar Krishna and his consort, s: 1.

The Divine Dance is an example of why Rohr has had such a profound influence on so many Christians seeking to balance reason and mystery, action and contemplation, not to mention faith and real lifeNadia Bolz-Weber, Accidental Saints The Divine Dance reminds us that God is a holy community.

In so doing the mystery of Christ is revealed and realised in us as it is in Jesus, and we become caught up in The Divine Dance of Love. The Carol 'My Dancing Day' is used as a framework: each verse focuses on a particular stage or event in the life of Jesus - from birth to temptation, suffering, death, resurrection and ascension.
